Post-Treatment Care
Can I eat before my whitening appointment?
Yes, it’s best to eat before your SunnaSmile whitening treatment, as you will not be able to eat or drink anything, except for water, for at least 1 hour following your session.
What foods and drinks should I avoid after whitening?
During the first 24 hours, avoid foods and drinks that can stain your teeth, such as blueberries, tomato sauce, beets, carrots, red wine, coffee, tea, and colas.
What if I notice white spots on my teeth after whitening?
White spots can sometimes appear due to calcium deposits or very porous teeth. These spots typically disappear within 24 hours as your teeth rehydrate.
What if I see white spots or feel sensitivity on my gums?
If you have any scrapes or cuts on your gums, you may notice white spots or feel mild sensitivity during the treatment. These effects are temporary and usually disappear within 24 hours.
Will I experience sensitivity after my whitening treatment?
A small percentage of people may experience minor tooth or gum sensitivity. This sensitivity generally fades within 30 minutes. If it persists, using a toothpaste formulated for sensitive teeth can help.
How often should I schedule touch-up treatments?
